How Is our team divided ?
Our team consists of three technical sub-Teams (Aero design, Structural design and Manufacturing) and a non-technical team responsible for PR and Media, under the supervision of our faculty advisor ,ensuring an optimal task distribution and maximizing the output of each sub-team while working together in closed loops and a team leader is selected to ensure a smooth operation and decisions making.
AeroDesign
AeroDesign Team is our first pillar, As They are responsible for selecting the aircraft configuration and the sizing of each Component "Wing, Tail, fuselage, Landing gear and Control surfaces" through an iterative engineering process by developing codes to execute their mission.
structural design and CAD
Our second sub-team is the structural design and CAD team, They are responsible for taking the selected configurations and numbers and performing further detailed design by selecting suitable materials, fixations and layouts and then create a complete 3D model that can be used as a plan for detailed part fabrication, assembly and simulations where needed.
Manufacturing and operations
Last but not least, the Manufacturing and operations sub-team. They manage of all manufacturing-related operations including contacting suppliers and getting the best material available for parts fabrication while keeping cost to a minimum. They also perform the assembly of all the major parts and ensure all parts are within minimum deviation from design, following all recommendations concerning RC aircraft building to maintain a flight worthy air frame.
